my WHITE coworker texted me across the office and said “Am I the only one who doesn’t find it strange that the black guy who got ebola died but them whites that got it was cured?”
Well he wasn’t treated immediately like the others, he was released. That’s what we need to be raising eyebrows at. Not the fact that he died and he happened to be black. Everything isn’t about race. He once he was found he was treated with the same drug as the rest at least I hope. But still, I don’t think they said lets just let him die. I mean if that was the case they would have just shot him like the cop did in St. Louis, S. Carolina, Ferguson, DC, New York, etc…
side bar, we raise eyebrows at that. But Those two white people were cured but no one is saying anything about the millions dying in Africa about the same thing. You only care when it’s in your neighborhood, not when it’s in someone else’s.
Were the first 2 also aid workers who were quarantined immediately after exposure? Make no mistake, something has gone terribly wrong in our society where black people are under attack to such an extent for them to think that all of us white people don’t care about them. A lot of work needs to be done.
